Testimonials

Dr. Lao Sealey

Consultant Paediatrician

I had my daughter assessed when I had concerns about the speed with which she was learning to read. The actual assessment was comprehensive and quite pleasant for her. The report I received was thorough, very helpful and put my fears to rest.

Although she was deemed to have an above average IQ, there were still things I could do to help her grasp the connection between sounds and words. I was also able to learn how she learns best.

The report not only described her abilities but also gave several tips on how to help her with reading and writing and I am proud to say that she is now doing both very well. In particular,  I would have never thought to have her use something as simple as playdoh to strengthen her hand muscles and improve her handwriting. It worked beautifully.
I encourage any parent who has concerns about their child's learning to invest in a learning assessment.
I even shared the assessment with her teachers and they were better able to know how to teach her. I saw improvement within weeks.

This learning assessment was literally the best thing I did for my child's education.

1. “When my son was diagnosed with dyslexia by Mrs Natasha Gray at Spark Learning  I was very worried that he would never be able to read. He was struggling in school and I was worried he would always be behind his expected academic level. Today however I am happy  to say since his reading intervention camp at Spark Learning  the improvement in his reading has me filled with hope that one day he will read accurately if not fluently. Natasha’s multi-sensory techniques were just what my son needed to help him to decode the words on the page allowing him to read.

My husband and I also attended the dyslexia workshop put on by Spark learning and our eyes were opened to the challenges persons with dyslexia experience. It was an emotional moment for me but it allowed to put myself in my son’s shoes and I am more patient with him when we read together. I can’t thank Natasha and her team enough for bringing my son to the point where he actually enjoys reading at least sometimes😊”

I appreciated the way Natasha delivered the content in a simple experiential style. I was able to live the life of a dyslexic person and it made me reflect on my practice as an educator.

The information shared has made me comfortable interacting with students who I suspect might be dyslexic and it informed me of the possible signs that could identify dyslexia.
